Choosing Anatomical Donation

Professional Standards

In addition to the direct benefits to your family, you can expect from LifeLegacy Foundation:

Integrity:
Tissues are recovered by specially-trained personnel. Both the donor and family are treated with respect and dignity.
Ethical Standards:
Medical researchers and academic institutions undergo a stringent application process with LifeLegacy Foundation in order to qualify to receive organs and tissues. Potential users must demonstrate scientific merit by submitting a research synopsis of intended use of tissue, as well as IRB (Internal Review Board) approval where applicable, and adhere to LifeLegacy standards. Donor anonymity is always maintained.
Caring:
In recognition of the heartfelt generosity of donor families, LifeLegacy has a "donor family support coordinator" who personally assists families before and after the donation. Our concern and attention does not end when the donation process is completed.
Service:
Being a nonprofit charity, LifeLegacy's main purpose is to provide outstanding service to all of our partners. We strive to serve our partners in a professional, efficient and courteous manner, with the hope of contributing to the universal effort to save, extend and enhance the quality of life through the advancement of medical research and education.

LifeLegacy Foundation is a federally-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity.
